Legends of the Land (1989)

After starting high school in 1988, I focused on my first ‘serious’ coding project, which was done entirely in z80 assembly language. “Legends of the Land” was a non-linear role playing game with strategy elements, which was heavily inspired by games like “Lords of Midnight” and “Sorderon’s Shadow”.

The game was never published, but in 1993, I released it as freeware along with my earlier games. Later on, it somehow migrated to internet and you can now download it, along with the somewhat sparse instructions, from here:

World of Spectrum

There is a remake on the way but as I see it as a fairly complex game, it’s still light years from completion.

Next: CutWithIt! (1991-1993)
